- Germany
- Denmark
- Latvia

The Programme focuses on questions of sustainable development, environmental protection, and democracy in the Baltic Sea region. The aim is to support the key role that universities play in a democratic, peaceful and sustainable development. This is achieved by developing university courses, and by participation in projects in cooperation with authorities, municipalities and others.
Programme Secretariat and Centres
The network is coordinated by The Baltic University Programme Secretariat, a part of Uppsala Centre for Sustainable Development (Uppsala CSD) at Uppsala University, Sweden.
The Baltic University Programme functions through a total of 13 centres, each of them with a centre director, personnel and a premise with facilities that allow regional contacts through Internet and video equipment. The centres are responsible for communication, information (web pages etc.) national conferences and dissemination of material within their respective areas.
The centre directors meet regularly to report and discuss the development of the Programme.
